Neal Spielberg
Owner and president of Spielberg Consulting, established in 2003 after 21 years with Warner Music Group in sales and distribution. Spielberg was VP of sales for both the Warner Bros. Records Nashville division and then WEA Distribution VP of Country Music Sales. Neal was involved in the sales planning and execution of artists Randy Travis, Hank Williams Jr, Dwight Yoakam, Faith Hill and Jeff Foxworthy. Current clients include, Equity Music Group, Stroudavarious Records and The Grand Ole Opry, working with artists Clint Black, Darryl Worley, Richie McDonald, and Kevin Fowler, Carolina Rain, and Laura Bryna and the entire archive of audio and video from the Grand Ole Opry.
Before getting into the music business Neal spent his first 3 ½ years out of college as Regional Marketing Director for Ringling Brothers, Barnum and Bailey Circus where he honed his skills and prepared for the music business. Neal is a member of the CMA, ACM Board member, and Leadership Music Alum.
Chart Noise and Spielberg Consulting serves 2 key functions for its clients- 1) outsourced by labels to perform the label’s sales functions, such as forecasting, budgeting, working with physical and digital accounts as well as distributors. 2) Help clients create a virtual label. Identify needs of the label/artist client and build a team to take project to market.
Jill Snell
Jill Snell has been actively working in the music industry for almost 20 years starting with a 14 year run at the Major Labels including Island Records, A&M Records and more than 10 years at BMG where she was responsible for marketing the Arista and RCA Rosters including Avril Lavigne, Annie Lennox, Dave Matthews Band and more. During this time Jill also became the Country specialist, spearheading all Canadian activity for the Nashville Rosters of Arista, RCA and BNA. She also helped navigate the domestic careers of many award winning, multi-platinum selling country artists such as Prairie Oyster, Charlie Major, Michelle Wright, Julian Austin and Paul Brandt who she went on to work with through her first venture into the independent world as a co-Founder of The Orange Record Label in 2003. Orange was a joint venture with Universal Canada and home to 9 Canadian artist including Brandt and award winning Rock collective, Jakalope.
In 2006, Jill formed her own Imprint and Marketing Consultant Company - Angeline Entertainment. Through Angeline, Jill works with prominent Canadian country artists such as Carolyn Dawn Johnson, The Wilkinsons, Patricia Conroy and of course Emerson Drive.
Jill served on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Country Music Association for 8 years. She also sits on a Juno Advisory committee for Country Music which she chaired for several years.
Andrew Patton
President of Patton House Entertainment
After graduating with a degree in Radio and Television Production from Kent State University, Andrew Patton started his work in the Christian music industry as an announcer doing evenings at WCRF in Cleveland, Ohio. Sixteen years later, now living in Nashville, he escalated to the role of vice president of National Promotions for Provident Label Group, and then onto starting his own talent management and promotion firm.
Patton has had a long-term vision for helping artists engage fully into the music industry and help guide them to success that lasts long past a single album or tour. “My new venture on the management side is really a dream accomplished. I am so excited about working with the entire spectrum of the talents career.”
His work also finds him utilizing extensive relationships and an excellent reputation with radio stations across the country. In 2005, Patton was nominated for and won the Radio & Record’s Christian Promotion Executive of the Year Award, based on industry voting from across the country. “I was so honored to win this award during my last year at Provident. I respect the relationships at radio and records that I have, and am thankful for this recognition.”
